In 2004, while dropping off her oldest at preschool, she overheard the community education director say into the phone that they did not offer Canning and Preserving classes because they had no cooking instructors. And so began her career teaching what she loved to do; being in the kitchen, cooking great food and eating healthy!
About Heather
Fast forward years later: that oldest is now a college graduate and there are now 2 more kids to love. That one canning class in one district has birthed into 30+ classes in 7 school districts. The vision is still the same; teaching kids and adults to cook and preserve from scratch, eat healthy foods, grow a garden and live in simple loving ways that bring joy.
